Abstract:
Plant-parasitic nematodes have developed into the second largest plant disease after fungal disease in China, and its control is extremely difficult. With the demand for sustainable development of agriculture in China, some highly toxic and efficient chemical pesticides are gradually banned, resulting in limited options for chemical nematicides. As a result, the nematicidal plant resources have been widely concerned by nematologists. This article reviewed plant resources with nematicidal effects, such as root exudates, tissue extracts and active substances, the mechanisms of action against plant parasitic nematodes, and the utilization of these resources in production practice. In response to current problems and future research trends, prospects are proposed to provide materials, ideas, and theoretical basis for the development and application of plants and their resources with nematicidal effects.
