Abstract:
Aiming at understanding the effects of different amendments on improving the qualities of landscape and garden soils, we conducted a pot experiment, mixing landscape and garden soils with several domestically developed soil amendments in a volume ratio of 1:1, to monitor and evaluate concerning physiological parameters of
Bougainvillea glabra.The experimental treatments were with CK0(planting soil only), CK1(planting soil+composting manure+5% regulator A), T1(CK1+0.5% microbial agent A), T2(CK1+1.0% microbial agent A), T3(planting soil+composting manure+5% regulator B), T4(T3+0.5% microbial agent A), T5(T3+1.0% microbial agent A), T6(T3+75 g·m
-3 phosphorite powder), and T7(planting soil + composting manure+5% regulator C).The results showed that all amendments improved soil physicochemical properties.Compared with CK0, soil amendments significantly increased plant height, crown diameter, chlorophyll content and root activity at the 140th day after planting(
P<0.05), respectively.T3, T4 and T5 treatments showed better effects than the other treatments. We also analyzed the Pearson correlation between physiological parameters of
Bougainvillea glabra and soil physicochemical properties, and showed that the plan growth was closely related to soil organic content and soil physical properties. We concluded that the adding biochar would improve performances of T3, T4 and T5 treatments.
