Abstract:
Polyethylene glycol (PEG-6000) was firstly used to simulate drought stress to study the effect of different concentrations of PEG-6000 on root length, epicotyl length, true leaf number, germination index, vigor index of three adzuki bean varieties, and found that 10% of Polyethylene glycol(PEG-6000) was the suitable concentration for screening drought resistance resources at the germination period for adzuki bean. Subsequently 40 adzuki bean germplasm resources for drought resistance with 10% of PEG-6000 solution were elevated, and all data were analysised by stering function method. Among the 40 germplasm, two were strongly drought-resistant, two were drought-resistant, five were moderately drought-resistant, six were moderately drought-sensitive, and other 25 were highly drought-sensitive.
