Abstract:
In order to study the effetcs of different land use on distribution of soil organic matter and total nitrogen in orchard, grassland and field crop soils of Qingyang calcic kastanozem area with amis to scientificly apply organic fertilizer and improve the situation of nitrogen deficiency and low sustainable productivity, the organic matter and total nitrogen in three soil layers were agrochemically analyzed. The results showed that soil organic matter (SOM) and total N content was highest in 0~20 cm and 20 cm~40 cm layers of orchard, followed by alfalfa, and corn field.SOM and total N content in the toplayer (0~20 cm) was higher than 20 cm~40 cm layer while the 20 cm~40 cm layer was higher than 40 cm~60 cm layer under the three land uses. The total N and SOM content in 20 cm~40 cm and 40 cm~60 cm layer varied greatly than that of top layer for the effect of cropping system, fertilization and climatic factors.Soil total N and SOM content had a significant positive correlation among tested layers.Organic fertilizer investment and farming management are major factors influencing spatial variations for SOM and total N in different land use and are also main reasons of variability between SOM and total N from different soil layers.
