Abstract: The application and research of CENTURY model in the study of soil organic carbon are summarized.The CENTURY model has a strong applicability in the study of soil organic carbon.The CENTURY model will run smoothly with effective parameters for different ecological systems.Research on soil organic matter accumulation and decomposition process and its content change using the CENTURY model not only provides the basis for the evaluation of soil fertility,soil quality,soil health and scientific management of forest ecological system and agricultural ecological system,but also provides the basis for the study of global C cycle.It shows that the CENTURY model has a wide application prospect and the model applied in the study of soil organic carbon will be more extensive and in-depth.
